V7 benchtop function test

I have followed jfedor’s excellent video for the configuration. Unfortunately I do not have access to the PlayStation Access controller (the disabled client I am helping is several 100km away) for end-to-end test and can only perform a benchtop test with my multi-meter to confirm the V7 is working.

I have measured resistances from both the S and R1 pins to the wiper pins R1 and T while moving the joystick position, as shown in the table below:

I would appreciate if someone could confirm that this is the expected output.

Thank you in advance!!

I’m reading 3.69 kOhm between the wiper and either end in the neutral position, 150-190 Ohm at one extreme and 4.90 kOhm at the other. This works with the PlayStation Access controller (it must do some auto-ranging to be ready for various joysticks).

I wonder why it’s not 10k and more linear. I’d check my notes from when I originally designed this, but I don’t think I made any.

Ah, it’s because the two potentiometers are wired in parallel.

Thank you @jfedor! That makes me confident everything is working correctly

Also thank you for your truly inspirational work on these projects.
