External device not detected by the monitor

Hello,

I have an HID Remapper V7. After opening the hidremapper.org website in Chrome and pairing my HID Remapper with the configuration tool, I’m having trouble with device recognition.
No matter which external device I connect or which jack or USB port I use, none of them are detected on the monitor.

Can you please help me?

The 3.5mm jacks on the v7 board are outputs only, you cannot plug buttons or joysticks into them.

As for the USB ports, I don’t know, some devices don’t work, but at least some should. You can try flashing the firmware again.

Thank you for your reply.
Is there another HID remapper that allows this type of connection ? If so, which one ?

To provide some context, I’d like to let one of my patients play using their (unofficial) Switch controller and remap two buttons to switches. This setup should function as a single controller.

v6 board is what you want. It has 4 USB ports and 18x 3.5mm jacks that can be used as inputs for buttons and switches and mapped to any button function. Works as a Switch compatible controller merging everything that’s plugged into it into one controller.

(Of course if you can solder and want to DIY it you can also use something like the Adafruit Feather RP2040 with USB host or even a Raspberry Pi Pico.)
